Anyone have an idea of what a 1930 Ford roadster pickup cost new in 1930 ?

The A.G. McMillan A/AA Ford Truck Owner book lists prices, as of Feb 1, 1931
it shows the open cab pick up at $425 F.O.B. Detroit.

Does anyone have documentation on the 1931 CCPU original retail price? Thanks.

Update - I found this Hemmings article that indicates it was $455.00.

I'd love to own a CCPU, but I need to lose about 50 lbs to get in one.
My current love affair is my 2018 F150 and it's 28 mpg.

Btw, my dad chopped cotton all one summer to get the money for his first used car. In the 1930s the average annual salary was $1368.00. A new A was over 1/3 of that. Dad would say "that's as big as a wagon wheel!".

That's exactly what I did. Back in the 1980s I had a '31 CCPU. I was in the navy then - lean and trim. But I retired in 1998 and pounds came on thereafter... I wanted another CCPU, but at 285lbs I knew I was too big for it. It dawned on me one day that I see old men and I see fat men, but very rarely see old, fat men.

A couple years ago I finally resolved to lose weight an get in better shape. I'm at 200lbs now and finally decided to get another CCPU a few months ago. I did and I fit quite comfortably in it

I would love a CCPU, but I think I am too tall. I guess I need a RPU. I almost bought a 29 CCPU right out of college, but I hadn't even sat in one. I probably would have had a rude awakening once I climbed in had I bought it!
