Folks, I slowly start to investigate my V8 :-)
Does the triangle platen (see zoom in pic) in front of the windscreen open somehow? Should there be a handle or so ? Greetings from Germany. Last edited by V8Germany; 03-18-2017 at 04:57 PM. |

Look under the cowl for a handle. Post a sideview of your project, or describe.

Nice 36, V8 Germany. That CLA must be a lot of fun too.

Shooting-brake originated as an early 19th century British term[1] for a vehicle used to carry shooting parties[2] with their equipment and game. The etymology of the term brake is uncertain;[3] initially a chassis used to break in horses, and subsequently used to describe a motorized vehicle. It is also possible, that the word 'brake' has its origins in the Dutch word 'brik' which means 'cart' or 'carriage'.
The term was later applied to custom-built wagons by high-end coachbuilders and subsequently became synonymous with station wagon or estate.[4][5][6][7][8] |

Well GOOD! Do you realize that the windshield should also open at the bottom, pivoting on two upper hinges? There should be a crank just below the bottom, center of the windshield on the dash. There's all sorts of ventilation for hot, summer driving. See the T-handle at top, center of dash. DD
