I still use a GoPro 3+ Silver, haven't really seen a need for better than that. I shoot 720P @ 60 FPS.

I'm still learning how to use mine I bought six months ago..........

Being 102, I'm no longer the brightest bulb on the block.

Just for info. All of my videos on youtube were shother with a $30 Flip camera. Not in the same ballpark as the Gopro, but easy to use.

I just purchased a MeCam from one of the deal of the day sites for $79, retail is $349 and can be had on Amazon anytime for $149 I think. I have not had a chance to play with it yet been out of town, it was delivered Friday.

Did some research online and it got pretty good reviews, a couple that stated it was as good as the GoPro and even had a display that GoPro does not.

For $79 didn't have much to lose.

Here's a link but I think it is sold out

There are a ton of GoPro clones out there, some are pretty good, especially for the money. GoPros are tough as nails, pretty hard to hurt one. Xiaoyi Yi has a good reputation and has similar cases. For a small HD camera I like the Mobius, the downside is only about 25-30 minutes of record time.

Another downside to all of these electronic gizmos is the makers downright lie about how long the battery lasts. For example, our last GPS was supposed to run for 6 hours on the battery. We couldn't even get 20 minutes. Neither could the guys in the shop where we bought it. It went back to the makers and when it came back, it was MUCH better. We now get nearly 30 minutes!

My gopro is a couple years old now, still can record about 1.5 hours. If it's cold out, then it is less. Most modern cell phones take pretty good video these days.

I have a Nilox. Less money than a go pro. The camera store guy recommended it.

I've gone to great lengths, printing special pics for visitors! Often, after they leave, they've left them layin' on the Coffee Table????? ("Maybe" my Coffee was BAD??)

31 Model A you never cease to amaze me with your willingness to stay so current. Now that I know your age of 102 that amazement has gone to a new level. You Sir are an inspiration to me. I also want to thank you for your military service. Not wanting to highjack this thread but I tip my hat to you!

Anyone thinking of getting a GoPro Hero 4, contact me through PM, I've the whole kit. Works fine but my computer being 32 years old isn't so happy of me trying out new things on it. It's all just above my mechanical knowledge. I have a "How to Use a GoPro for Dummies" I'll throw in also.............

Thanks...............

One big plus for the GoPro is the plethora of mounting hardware. I have the 3+ silver that I use on my roadster as well as my RIB boat. Also have used the helmet mount at hillclimbs.

yea theres tons of these, just search amazon for "action camera" - tons of highly reviewed and rated ones for under $70.
usually come with a whole bunch of mounting accessories or a kit can be had for $15 or less...

I decided to cheat and use an old hat with a hole drilled in the brim, 1/4-20 bolt, and my usual digital camera with 1080P video mode attached to it. Gotta do some trial and error fitting and such but eliminates all vibration as your body is the shock absorber - lets your hands and feet be 100% free to do whatever you need to do (aka drive)
