I have an all original 36 Cabriolet with Bambalino Blue paint. It surely a beautiful car and I'm not restoring it, just maintaining it properly.
The paint is aged and has a beautiful patina that a little bit of finesse will look awesome. The problem is that there are a couple of paint scuffs to bare metal which I would like to touch up to properly protect and preserve the car. I would like to find some Bambalino Blue in Lacquer, not urethane, not 2-stage but good old fashioned lacquer. With Lacquer I'll be able to touch up the bare metal spots with ease. Does anyone know where I can get Bambalino Blue in Lacquer ? Thanks |

Hibernia restorations can supply lacquer paint.
You would be rolling the dice on whether it matches or not. If yours is original paint, it may be difficult to blend without leaving an edge. http://hiberniaautorestorers.com/nit...ve-laquers.php

any artist in the family? local artist? I would have someone with knowledge of paint touch it up for you. My son really has an "eye" for colors and has been successful in touching up many cars was a graphics arts major and when he was in high school went to the fine arts center and learned about color matching . a lot of bigger, older print shops will have a pantone color chart. go to the local high school or museum and find an art teacher
