Tires..

In another post a while back, the poster said he has, and loves his P215/75/16 tires on his Model A. I think he left out the "R", designating radials.

Is there any modern tire that's acceptable for the Model A, rather than the Bias ply 600/16 tires?

Any other disadvantage/advantage by using them?

Finally, is the P215/75/16 tire the closest on to the originals? Would just like to put this to bed..

When I put radials on my PU, I intend on using Coker's 5.50x19" radials. Spendy, but I just like the way they look.

The original size (21" or 19") with the Excelsior tires look great. They are radials. The roadster pickup has the 19s on it.

I tried to get the 21 inch radials from Coker, but the guy said they were too big for a model A, and needed a 4 to 5 inch wide rim. The model A has a 3 inch wide rim. He said they would wear out in the middle, and they were not returnable. I was dissapointed.

Thats a bummer. I was going to get a set. The website does say they are for a 4-5" rim.
