Have 31 ford coupe. Looking for information on where to locate the mounting studs at bottom of band. My body has no holes for these studs. Assistance requested in locating where to drill the holes in body.

Billy,
A 31 Ford Coupe cowl has the holes for the band since birth, and a boss to support the nuts on the studs. Have you got a pic of this area of your cowl? -- |

I had to weld on a longer bolt to get mine to fit, and the nut threaded on.
getting the initial stretch / setting the curve takes more bolt than they gave me. |

Cowl band stud should be at a 30 degree angle to the band, near the cowl bottom there should be a slot for the stud, inside cowl there should be a boss at a angle for the stud. Get one side one first then back off nut to the end of the stud, then work on the other side. Studs can be short if body work has been done ( poorly )
