Backfire on Deceleration
My truck runs good until i take my foot off the accelerator which provokes many popps or backfire. Am i running lean, rich, or is it because of something else? <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |

See if your exhaust is sucking in cold air in the manifold. <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |

Re: Backfire on Deceleration
it usually means your running lean vaccuum leak i used to remove the vacuum line from the distributor on my chevy to make it do that <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |

Re: Backfire on Deceleration
all this about vacume leaks is very unlikely. it is usaly the deverter valve. block off the hse going to the exhaust and if it stops back firing then replace that deverter valve. some trucks have one for each side of the exhaust( v8's) <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |
