Default removing a rust stain in top

How can I remove a rust stain from a tan fabric top?

Scissors. If that's too drastic, there are several fabric rust removal products, all based on different chemistries, available at the grocery and hardware stores. As they say, "Test on a small unseen area or sample first". I tried 'CLR' on some of the Lebarron Bonny T9 green material my roadster side curtains are made from, but it slightly lightened the color. Some laundry stain remover the wife had worked, but that was years ago and I don't remember what it was.
