48 Ford Convertible - project car w/ title
City:
Cleveland
State:
OH
Price:
3800.00
Not for the faint of heart or restoration amateur. Just out of 25 year barn storage. Car is in pieces, meaning body is off frame and apart; think cowl is off, doors off, fenders, hood, etc. and you will get the picture. It is rough; meaning floors are gone, wood parts are rotted but believe most of unique convertible parts are there, (doors, inner rear panels, rear tub, all 4 windows, cowl, folding top assembly, latches, etc). Correct front seat but rear seat is missing. Very repairable doors, cowl, rear tub, fenders, inner fenders, etc. Motor is later BA motor and would need rebuilt. Chassis is a roller with correct suspension, trans, driveshaft but later rims/tires; it's all there and very usable; only weak spot is over driver rear wheel.
I bought it to convert my 47 Coupe street rod into a convertible but I just can't cut my 47 coupe up and try it at this point. Comes with clear matching title. Last; due to not wanting to deal with tire kickers or those who are not serious only contact is via PM for pics and more details. Won't even think of selling parts off it so don't bother asking (want the drivers door glass? then buy the whole car). Again this is not a paint it and put it together car. It requires much effort and skill but how many 46-48 convertible projects do you find? Buy it now before I change my mind and take it off the market. Ooops. Typo on price. Wish it worth 5k but know it's not. Last edited by dericwi; 09-20-2010 at 04:53 PM. Reason: going to use it after all. guess economy really is bad. |

weather at GoodGuy's was very "good" lots of rain so crowds were down. Would like to move this car but not going to give it away. Come see it and make an offer.
