Default Looking for Info: AA Truck Bed Mounts

I'm looking for some info on the correct way to mount a bed on the back of a 28-29 AA truck. I am not sure if it was the same for all different styles of beds(flatbeds, dump bodies). We have a few 3x7 in. boards and plan to mount a dump box on a 29 AA. Before jumping in head first I figured I should see if there is anyone out there who has done it before. Any and all pics or info will be much appreciated!

I also don't know who made the bed is as it had no tags anywhere. If anyone had any ideas who the maker that would be extremely helpful.

Here is a photo of the truck/ bed. The wood blocks under it are just for mock up to get the height correct.

Thanks,
Mike

Any later model beds, platforms, etc I've seen have the wood mounted on top of the frame running the full length of the body using long U'bolts. FWIW
Paul in CT Seems awfully high JMO

Dump bodies were mounted to the AA frame without wood spacers. Every dump body mounted differently. Some required the rear of the frame to be cut off to allow the dump to tilt correctly.

There are details for installation of the initial Ford sold dump bodies in the September 1930 Ford Service Bulletins. Attached is one page.

Thanks for the details. Our particular bed had to have something under it. Being as it is a hand crank the largest of the gears would hit the crossmember with the hump in it. The one in that diagram appears to be a gravity dump which would not have the gears underneath.
