Adjustable lifters

Contact Topline they will tell you where to purchase their product. I do some contract work for the largest machine shop supplier in Canada and there is no trouble here with the Topline supply.They are a very large independent manufacturer and supplier.A top drawer company.

Thanks for the links V8coopman, but the Johnson one stalls and the other two for topline come up with the horrible 404 no body home.

If you remove all the words/letters after ".com" a site come up saying they are making a new website. No contact info given.

You obviously haven't purchased an Iskendarian "cam and kit" lately; They come with the solid heavy lifters.

Not what I was referring to, but still thanks for the response. To me you could take the term heavy two ways, the heavier of the adjustables (solid vs hollow) or any adjustable vs original. Maybe using the term heavy to refer to solid adjustable lifters is a common term, I just have not heard it used that way. I'm currently using an Isky cam, BUT cam only, not the cam/kit.

Note: Just went back and read the post, he did say "came with the cam", got it. I'm not a fan of the solid adjustables anyway, so I'll remember that is what Isky provides. I like the ones Reds sells anyway, so not much chance of purchasing them from Isky!

Perhaps at extremely high rpms the weight of the lifter has far more influence on valve float than the way I drive. ...... Floyd Clymer's book 'How to hop up the Ford V8' written in something like 1952 ends it's last chapter with a poem. And I quote...(without looking). " Brave is a man who will fight with a sword, or tackle Mt. Everest in snow, but the bravest of all owns a '34 ford and will try for six thousand in low". Now that's a poem........

Yes there is a disadvantage to using heavy lifters, BUT it is relative. On a stock motor no. On a modified motor, maybe a little. On an all-out race motor yes.

I'm not looking for any, just thought it was interesting that they seem to be somewhat obscure.

It is good to know there is a source.

Just as a general observation, it is odd that when there are quality components they seem to be difficult to find information on or obtain, but junk is easy to come by!

That's the fault of us, the consumer. We don't often search the highest quality parts, we just give a kneejerk response to what the marketers dangle in front of us: "Oh, look! Those lifters are cheap! I just have to click here, and here, and they will be on my doorstep. No effort required!" Then we whine about low quality.

Because I was just handed the right equipment I just have to try grinding the stems and using the stock lifters on this one. They are just so silky smooth in the bores..... (and they don't cost 200 bucks a set)

I bought HyLift Johnsons from CGM Motorsports at EBay few moths back.
Quality looking product. If I remember right I read that same history thing about HyLift Johnsons from their page.

I tend to agree, but it is still a little odd that it takes as much effort as it does to locate quality stuff! It takes a LOT of research to find the best parts for every application. That is one of the benefits of sites like the Barn to draw on the collective knowledge of a large group of experienced people. But from the smallest bolt or screw to the largest most expensive parts, every one requires careful research if you really want the best option.

Does anyone know where we can buy these quality Johnson lifters? All of my internet searches either dead end or produce no relevant results. The websites are either not there, or they do not list any flathead lifters. CGM Mototsports site doesn't list them (they have no products listed on eBay at this time). Has anyone with internet skills beyond mine found where to get these?
