Don't wait, get your Model A now, you will not regret it.
Wish I had got mine 30 years ago.
First time you start it and drive it...you will beam, and you will love that feeling.
Don't wait too long.

I run a Ryan overdrive so essentially have 6 forward speeds, and use them as needed . The grades really aren't all that steep at places so you just let the engine and gearing hold you back when needed, and use the brake only when you need

There are drives I'd like to make if I was a bit more comfortable with the "downhill" part.
Cracker,
On a LOOOONG, straight, downhill on Highway 152, the "BARN DOOR" aerodynamics of my '30 Coupe, held me to a comfortable 55 MPH, in high gear. In NEUTRAL, it held it to 57MPH!
On TWISTY downhills, it's a whole different scenario

Wait a minute! You're saying the engine drag in high gear only held it back an additional 2 mph over coasting in neutral? I've got to dig out my old Physics book and try to figure this out!

It would depend on the grade percentage??????

Vern, Did you run out of power, or traction? If power, you could install a 4 speed from an AA truck for lower gearing. Then you could keep up with the $40,000 trick Jeeps with a Stock, 2 wheel (not even 'Posi-traction') drive 85 year old car!
