I have to remove the rear end on my 33 . Are there any good books that show a step by step process?

The best all around shop manual for the novice mechanic is the Canadian book. Ford didn't produce a shop manual until the "new" Ford arrived in 1949. The Canadian book is available from a vendor such as C&G.

Another good book is the reprint of the old NAPA shop manual for '32-6...C&G calls the current edition:V-13 Repair Manual 32-36 Passenger & Pickup R&R of the assembly isn't covered specifically but is fairly obvious, spring . brake rods, U-joint cover, etc. Procedures are very similar for all the early rears, but there are differences and different specs for things like pinion preload...the families are '28-32, late '32-34, and '35-48. All are very well covered in the bulletins. |
