Dick was very helpful to me and the V8-60 and went quite a bit out of his way to do it. Very much appreciated.
A very good guy. My best to him. |

I called the shop today to check on some parts and asked how Dick was doing. Still in the hospital so I didn't question further.

I was about ready to order a windshield frame for my 5w, and was hoping I could talk to "the 32 man". Heart goes out to him and his family.

Not good news unfortunately. The following was posted on the HAMB last night:
"I haven't heard much in a while, so I call a friend, who lives near him and is a hot rodder! He says Dick is still in the hospital. He is not doing well at all. Some of his cars and parts were sold, to a good friend ,who was customer of his for many years . The business will close by the end of the year. We wish Dick the best! but sad to say, no good news at this time! If I hear anything new, I will post it". |

My prayers for Dick and his family. One of the nicest people I have dealt with in this old ford hobby.

Such a sad thing to hear. Cancer is a nasty disease in any form. I've lost My Dad and my oldest sister to it. I think we all need to say an extra prayer or two for Dick. Maybe the man upstairs will hear us and step in.

I was at the store last Friday and can confirm what was said above. Didn't ask where the '32 went, though. Bought a few things. He has a lot of parts between the store and barn. Will probably pay Bill another visit soon. Worth a trip to look around for something you could use. Who knows where it all will end up.
