Where do you buy header pipe and bends?
Hello all... Im getting ready to mock up a twin turbo setup on one of my spare motors.. Its going to be on one of my 41' motors.
My question is, where do you buy header tubing, 45. 90, and U bends? Im looking for 1in or 1 1/4in. Any thoughts? Ive already made my flanges.. Just need pipe. Im sure ill get negative remarks, but just to put people at ease, its going to be more for looks than function. I will keep the boost only high enough to hear the turbos. Not looking for any HP gain. |

You're going to put twin turbos on a '41 flathead V8 engine?

Re: Where do you buy header pipe and bends?
Do you really mean 1 inch pipe?? That's small. Here is 1 1/2 in a kit: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Assort...Inch,1731.html
When I built my hotrod, I went to a local muffler shop, bought a stick of steel and asked them if they would put some bends in it. Once I explained that I was building a hotrod, they just charged me for the tube and bent it for free.

When you get going on this, post some updates on the early V8 page. I'd like to see it. I'm sure Old Ron, Walt and others would too.

Try Red's Headers in California (good website). They just made the header for a Model T Speedster I'm doing. Top notch work.
