Default Wow what quality in a repro part!

I got this 1949-51 woodie third row seat from http://www.glideengineering.com/1949...&%20chevy.html
It is of the highest quality and they painted it as well! Didn't expect it to fold either. Not too often one gets better quality repro than expected.

It would be so nice to see more of this. Sure, it would cost more but you only have to do it once.

It was expensive at $800(what isn't these days especially made in USA) but IMHO worth it for the very high quality.

That(Glide seat) is what came in the 34 roadster I have but the release catch for the seat back is really hard to work. While @ the LA roadster show I happened upon their booth. I mentioned it to one of the workers there. He went & talked to another fellow & came back & handed me a complete new cable release assy. He didn't ask if I bought it from them or how I acquired the seat or any thing. Just told me how to install it & wished me luck.
I'm liking Glide seats a lot. I must say it is comfortable I like that the seat bottom lifts up or the backrest folds forward.
Heh heh he the BFH was for something else

A good deal is when both parties are satisfied.

I don't think it is identical to an original. However, close enough for me. My woodie is a hot rod under and original where you can see it.

Glide seats are great , very comfy. But down right ugly if you can see the plastic seat adjusters in an early car. The visible plastic levers make them look like a Honda seat ,

Just received my new Glide seat frame and foam kit for my 37 Ford pickup. Fantastic item. The frame without the foam is more comfortable than the old seat!
