Default Step Plates

I just painted the Ford blue in the center of my step plates and now the step plates themselves look dingy. Is there anything that I can use to brighten them up like when they were new? I think there aluminum or something. There the ones that the dealers sell.

There is a cleaner called Alumna Bright sold by NAPA. Works good, just be careful around you new oval paint...

Thanks Jim, I'm going to stop at our local napa store and see if they have any of this cleaner.
