Mack Hils offers the steel floor over wood like original. Northern only has the wood floor. I have read where the Mack steel floor will not fit the Northern box. Not sure where the problem might be.

Yes, the Mack floor fits the Ford bed perfectly. I have installed one in my bed.

What was posted was there was a problem mixing componets from the 2 aftermarket brands.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations on other boxes. I've found the following places:
Midwest Early Ford Northern Classic Trucks Mac's Dan Carpenter Pro's Pick There are varying prices on these and I'm not sure how hard they are to put together. The Dan Carpenter and Pro's Pick appear to not have the factory-level detail on them versus the other ones. Anyone have experience with any of these? |

just put together a northern classic box very simple very nice box came with wood floor kit was impressed with quaility of box and wood

Stick with mack hills. They make great stuff. The pros pics is a bobo plain streetrod bed. Can't comment on the carpenter ones
