OH MAN! If I didn't already have my 29CCPU, I'd bid on that in a heartbeat!

Now, don't expect it to be selling at the current price. LOL There are six days left for people to bid.

There might be a lot more vehicles up for sale (model a's) from this seller....as I recall there are about 3 barns full of A's. How much of it is going to be sold off I don't know but out of this collection of cars there was a 29 taxi and a 29 Town car....yes a town car. He had every body style of A's accounted for at one time.

You can see the taxi in these pics...
There was an article on this gentlemen about 8 or 9 years ago in...Cars and Parts? Hemmings? Can't remember. He had all the rare body style A's like others have mentioned, Towncar, Taxi etc. I believe he had an interesting story with his Towncar having been re-bodied, or rather, re-chassised in the early 30's by Ford or a Ford dealer. -Tim Last edited by WTSHNN; 10-30-2013 at 06:53 PM. |

NICE! It is a real one, note the rollup window regulator, I found the sad remains of one of these about 45 years ago at the Town Dump. Is this the former Swigert Collection car or another? Bob

Looks like Vernon Burk's collection of 40+ Model A's. Heard he was in a nursing home and one of his sons has the collection.

I bought the one at Hershey and I have started doing a few things to get it in better shape mechanically and cosmetically. First thing was to put on a right side mirror. The steering box leaked all the oil out over night. I bought the bottom plate with the tube but have not put it in yet. There is another thread with a picture of it. Check my posts if you want to see a picture of it.

I remember a post office truck that he has or had. If that town car ever comes up for sale you better have a lot of mulla because I heard him tell a guy that he paid a lot for it plus a trade of one of his cars. He has a great museum at his house which a lot of local Model A Clubs had the opportunity to see it. He would never ever think of selling one of his cars. I'm very surprised that one of them is up for sale. Probably rest home fees.
