I have a clanking noise and have not been able to pinpoint where it's at, several guys in the model A club have tried to but to no avail. One thing that should help out is when ground out the second spark plug the noise seems to quiet down. Any suggestions where to look or what this could be? Thank you,

i think you may have found it #2 piston, wrist pin, rod, crank journal or babbit problem.
by stopping that cylinder from combusting the pressure on all mentioned components is reduced thus less noise.. |

. With an engine hoist, and all the tools needed, like some form of an engine puller, it shouldnt take more than 2 hours with the help of a friend. I counted the bolts one time, and i beleive its only like 24 bolts to take out. Thats including everything, but floorboards.
