Can anyone tell me the difference in size for a 1939 vs a 1941 Ford split bench seat? And if anyone knows - if a 39 bench is fit in a 41 - is it too small in side to side width?
If I use the 39 bench - it will be upholstered with custom high grade vinyl - so no worries about original spec, though I do want it to look like it fits the cars interior ( and not look too small ) Thanks, John |

John, If it would help, I'm in Belleville,MI. just down the road. I have a 40 bench in my car that you could take measurements off of. Or if you needed me to measure it at a certain spot I would. I believe these are the same size as 39.

I believe 39 and 40 would be the same dimensions. The 39 should fit no problem in a 41,as Ken says holes may need redrilling due to not lining up.
