I started to install the cardboard interior on my 48 F1 today. I purchased the headliner from Dennis Carpenter and it does come with a single sheet of instructions, but I'm having trouble figuring out where one piece of cardboard goes and where the 3 different types of fasteners go.
The single piece of cardboard that I'm unsure of is about 2-3 inches x 18-20 inches. Two of them in the kit and I figured that one goes below the rear window but have no idea where the other goes. Three type of fasteners came with the kit. Most are stainless steel with a stainless steel washer, then I have 6 button type head fasteners with a spring type connector, and last just a plain type of sheet metal screw. The instructions give no clue, and guess what, I have no clue. If someone has photos of their interior, or at least direct me to where all these fasteners go. Thanks, Chuck |

The kit is for all F1's. So the other cardboard might be for the 51-52 below the "larger window". The button heads are for the kick panels.

For some reason I cannot attach any photos for you to see, but I have two types of screws. One is the stainless with the washer and I also have 13 panhead type screws and don't know where those screws go. The piece in you photo shows a narrow piece under the back window but I have two in the kit. One is slightly shorter then the other.
When I try to attach an image it asks for the URL but for some reason I cannot attach anything. I've tried right clicking on the photo and select copy and then try and paste it to this page but it doesn't work. If you could email me directly I know I can attach photos. My email is [email protected] Thanks for the reply and sorry I'm an idiot. |

The photo I posted is for my 1951 F1. The widow is larger(I had to cut the cardboard opening larger) than the 48-50 so you would use the shorter piece. I cannot remember where the pan heads go(my truck is stored for the winter off premesis). email me at [email protected]
