Default 32 front spring u-bolts

Put the front axle under my 32 frame today. The u-bolts and nuts bought on-line were said to be 32. the nuts have more points than a standard nut and requires a 12-point socket. There are no provisions for cotter pins and the u-bolts are not drilled for them either. Are these correct? Sorry, unable to send pictures,
Lastly, how tight should U-bolts be tightened-front and rear?
Thanks

nuts should be 1/2 fine thread hex with castellations for the cotter pins. The U bolts should have the holes and be arched on top to go over the crank support.
I pull mine down to at least 80 f-p

Not sure repop u bolts are equal or same as originals. I have found similar issues with other than original, stock items.
