Default U-joint question on '46

Hey guys,

I think this is oriented the correct way, but I just want to double check myself. The shorter side of the u-joint goes over the output shaft of the transmission and the longer side of the u-joint goes over the torque tube spline.

Can't remember how the old one came off and just want to be sure. My ford manual distinctly seems to not have any diagrams of the joint!

Short side toward the trans with a bolt and washer into the trans shaft. G.M.
