Rescued a steel 34 5w from a street rod build. The car hasn't been on the road since '84 and the previous owner spent a ton of cash and time on it. It has some good work but it is reflective of the 90's style IE; wheels, smoothing and filled roof. I plan to keep the filled roof but here is my plight. I am going to put 34 hinges back on as well as door handles and a trunk latch. Where can I find a diagram as to where I need to locate the hinges. It was a rumble car so I will have that to deal with as well. It is going to be a trunk car. Not many 34 factory steel coupes around here. Appreciate any help or advice. thanks.

Hi cheepsk8,
I can't help with the diagram, but if you want to make a road trip to Winfield, WV (midway between Charleston & Huntington) with a tape measure and camera, I have a '34 5-window (steel, not chopped or filled and has a trunk, not rumble) that you can examine. Good luck with your project! Jim |

Thanks for the offers, [mfagan] I shot you a pm. Never been to WV but you never know.... Thanks. I know that is what I am going to have to do. The glass cars may have all the same measurements but I want a Henry built car to look at and most likely make a couple of templates from cardboard. The hidden hinges work very well and are functional as they are. Access to the interior and trunk are my main concerns now. Thank you fellows for your help.
