having trouble posting--this is a first time for me-- Stan Vermeil taught auto shop at Santa Rosa Junior College for many many years. He was early in installing insert bearings in model A engines. My friend had a Vermeil rebuild in his model A and it was fine. I have taken many classes from him--he was a very very highly respected auto shop instructor(now retired)--now I suppose it is just his hobby- I know I will take him engines in the future.

Dennis,
There is also a shop in Napa and another in Oakdale that seem to have good reputations. Keep us posted on how it goes with Stan. I'll need someone myself in ~six months. Bruce

Might talk to Furtado's in San Jose. I think the Santa Clara club members use that rebuilder along with Oakdale. Bob
