Default 1940 Lube Points

Is there a lube chart or list for all the lube points on a 40? Don't want to miss any.

There are charts available, both from Ford publications, and from publications such as MotorS Manuals. The Ford charts have been reproduced in a larger size, available from many Antique Ford parts dealers.

When you have the chart in hand, look at the zerk fitting onn the inside of the rear Brake Backing Plates: Do not lube this zerk as it will put grease on your brakes. It isn't needed anyway if your races are properly packed with grease.

It's in the owner's Reference Book (i.e., manual).

Make sure you follow ford38v8's warning. Otherwise, you will ruin your brakes.

Just buy a repro owner's manual if you don't have the original...cheap, readily available, and lots of information, including the lube chart. There are a LOT of lubrication points, and some non-obvious oddities like Zerks that do not get regular chassis grease...
