Default Leaking oil return tube

What's the secret to sealing a oil return tube? Can't get mine to stop seeping. I am using new cork gaskets and copper washers.

Could it be leaking where the tube joins the dome shape end cap? I think the seam is soldered or brazed, might be a split there.

I had the same problem and tried the cork / copper gasket approach to seal the leak. Still leaked at the lower end. Black silicone solved the problem. Not Henry Ford, but it works for me. BW

I have found the valve cover casting cracked in that area both at the top and/or bottom. Gar Williams
