I have a 30 Pickup, with two tail lights, want to add turn signals to rear. Mac's has a "lighting wire harness-with built-in turn signal wiring-without cowl lamps-for 2 bulb system". Is this what I need? Do I have to add turn signals to front, or can I do it to rear only with this kit? Please clarify "2 bulb system"

I bought my kit from Sacramento Vintage Ford. They have their own wiring shop and the pre-wired the switch and fabric covered all the wires. Works perfect and looks good as well. It is set up to use either the tail lights or separate lites in the rear, and for the front it is set up to use cowl lights, the parking lights in the 2-lite headlights, separate lights, or I suppose, none in the front, although I don't know why you wouldn't want something in the front as well.

When I did mine I bought a signal stat stalk, flasher assy, 2 rear between the bumper lights and found a pair of Ford foglights (w/patina) for the front, ran my own wires thru the orig type woven loom avail fron the vendors and wired in the orig tail lights. Now I have four stop lights in the rear.

I prefer the Logolite system; it is complete with LED lights front and rear which mount between the bumper bars, or if you have no rear bumper you can use your tail lights for the rear. The system will work on 6 or 12 volt, negative or positive ground. the control unit mounts on the dash with a magnet; its has a buzzer that operates when the signal is on so you cannot forget to turn off; also has lights that flash on the control unit.

I vote with Ron....Logolite is the sweetest system I have ever seen. It is super easy
to install and you don't have to do any fancy wiring. Jack

I'll add my name to the list of LogoLite fans. I have them on the roadster, and they really work nicely. I wasn't real thrilled with the suggestion to place the control box on the face of the dash panel, though. I put mine below the seat on the steel riser. You can't see it there, and it's easy to just feel the left or right buttons and know you have the correct light working.

You can purchase a knock off SIGNAL STAT 800 for less thatn $20 at many vendors to include GASLIGHT AUTO PARTS, in Ohio, I believe.
I have had mine on for about 8 years and it works perfectly in daily driving, utilizing my stock rear lights and cowl lights. Duo parking lights would also work if you have dual lamps in your headlight bucket. The flasher and flasher holder cost about another ten dollars. |

I'm REAL cheap I just used a 3 way toggle switch. I used the cowl lights in the front and found some old arrow signal lights and then for extra noticability I put 2 wire sockets in the tail lights. I did put the turn signal beeper that the venders sell in it.

I'm thinking about using the control box from this kit with a momentary switch like Clydes under the dash and cloth wiring from one of the vendors. I have not heard anything about them though so I'm not sure if its a good recommendation or not but its another option.

Thanks to all the good words from you folks, I ordered the Logolite system and installed it this afternoon. Sweet, clean easy installation and nothing was drilled or damaged in any way... completely reversible. Thank you, gentlemen.

I also made mine from scratch. I hid toggle switch behind dash paned and the flasher behind kick panel. Can't see anything except the 2 clearance light on the rear bumper. Cost less than $20.00
