Default June 6, 1944. Operation Overlord.

God Bless all those who served and sacrificed their lives June 6, 1944 at Operation Overlord - Normandy, France. Lest we never forget the cost of freedom.

Americas greatest generation!
We are losing more and more of these hero’s each day.
Sad, but I do believe that it is entirely different country now.

Sadly Ralph, you are correct. It is an entirely different country now and not for the better when it comes to patriotism nationwide. As the vets of WW II pass on, the war will be forgotten just like WW I - unmentioned and forgotten. Our youth are at a crossroad and have much to learn - hopefully not the hard way.

Sadly, American History is no longer taught in our schools these days. - Replaced by hatred of America...

Those who fought and died for our country are never forgotten, from the smallest skirmish in the least known conflict to the largest battles of World Wars, all are Heroes of the highest order.

Here in Australia ( Melbourne ) I watched three documentaries until two AM in the morning. They said around 10,000 killed in that landing. Boy do we owe them our very existence. All heroes. Lest we forget them ever. Regards, Kevin.
