Buffed out a rather nasty scratch in my windshield from a bad wiper blade which did the damage prior to my purchase of the vehicle, with a DA and Griot's Fine Glass Polish and pad from Griot's came out pretty good! Also replaced the windshield brackets with chrome brackets and nuts from Snyder's (I have to say the originals fit much nicer than the new chrome ones!) did an oil change, oiled the distributor, checked the fluids and air in the tires for two upcoming car shows this weekend!

Finally got my ‘31 truck out of storage after a long winter. Spring weather has been crummy. Test ride went great! A little carb tuning made the 20 mile test ride a joy.

Today was my last day working, finally retired! I drove my Model A to the plant today and was able to take a bunch of my coworkers out for rides. It was a near 70 mile, fantastic day, and the car ran perfect. Still can’t wipe the smile off my face 😎.

Thanks everyone! We have a bunch of things planned for the summer and I will be sure to have the car involved in as much as possible.

You hear some folks talk about how long it took for them to transition their brain from employed to retired. Or, to put it another way: how long it took them to get used to being retired. Although I loved the job I had for 34 years it took me about 2 steps outside of the door to be "used to being retired." That was 11 years ago and I haven't regretted it for a minute.

And on another subject: The timing gear and other parts got ordered from Bert's today and my '30 2-dr should be running again soon.
