I have tried and tried. No Luck

We had a customer car in our shop that got hung here a extra 3-1/2 months strictly waiting on headers.

Yes, I have. It took a few phone calls to get to talk to a real human. The guy who finally answered my call was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to order a set of headers for my 1951 Ford CONVERTIBLE (convertible headers are different because of the convertible frame.). It took about a month to get the headers and they fit perfectly. Keep trying to contact Red's Headers, because it is worth the effort. I got mine within the last year.

I wonder how much business they lose by not answering the phone?

I placed an order on line April 20th. Victor called last week to let me know they were building the headers. Hopefully I will see them soon.

I know to expect a month or so lead time, but have always received a good product. They make a header that will clear Nash and Hudson steering boxes in 32-34 Fords and I have used them on 4 different 32 projects with great results.

I believe Victor is who I spoke with when I ordered my headers and exhaust pipes years ago.

While it's easy to fault companies for not answering phones and emails, keep in mind they are dealing with the same high volume of spam and robocalls we all are.

Why not hire a person to come in once a week to do call backs? Hire a retired person who is an old Ford person. Little extra money for their retirement and help keep the customers.. I have not run a business ,but when I call a business for a part and get no call back I move on to do business with someone else.

Red's is located about 30 miles from the nearest location with any population. That's a 60 mile round trip commute for anyone in a very hot and remote location. It's also a great place to stop in if going to the LARS, GNRS or many of the other car events in LA.

Thanks for letting me know that there is no real nearby town.

They're located in the middle of the desert on HWY 10 about 20 miles east of Indio, which is not far east of the Palm Springs area. At one time they either also had a location in Indio or started to move and scrapped it or something I guess. Seem to recall him also having some kind of museum collection in the small village.
