Default springs

Has anyone used the posi super slide springs? I'm thinking of putting them on my 37 4dr. Can you get them with the shackles installed?
Thanks, Don

i bought one for the rear of my 41 ,they don't even come with studs for the shackles ,you get a bare spring no shackles.

Thanks guys, I also considered the liners between the leafs but don't want to raise the height to much.

I put one on each end of my '36 3w. The rear actually went up because the original spring was both tired and had a cracked leaf. I ended up taking off the two top spring leaves to adjust, put them on the bottom to act as spacers for the clamp/u bolts. You have to order the "hot rod" or after market shackles. These come in two lengths, the shorter matches the length of your stock shackles, the other is the shackle for the '42-48, they're about 5/8" longer if I remember correctly and will give you some additional lowering. Posies sells the Pete & Jakes version of these. The buttons really help the ride IMO.

The Posie spring comes with just the eyelet formed at a nominal .750. I don't have the stock hardware to measure, but if memory serves they aren't quite the same. The new P&J shackles come with a "plastic" bushing with an o.d. of .750. Here's a link to P&J page showing shackle: http://www.rjays.com/Pete_Jakes/Pete_images/1048-lg.jpg

I found my file pic of the shackle to show you what it looks like installed.
