Working on a ‘36 truck for a customer. It came in pieces and I am just starting to test fit panels after lots of rust repair. The radiator does not have any mounting provisions for the grill. Is this normal or has somebody cut off the mounting area?

If I interpret your photo correctly, it looks like someone trimmed the side panels of the radiator for some reason. Dave
