Default Re: 34 trip

the split was the spare, it obviously was not the best condition ,I will learn from this and make sure the spare isin top condition and new tyre.
TOday we have done 450 ks,car and steering is back to its usual nice to drive,
most of the day today at 50-55mph,
A lot of wind this morning, and wind noise in the cab,so stopped and stuck some foam sealing strip on the door shut area,it was a LOt quiter inside then,
Also got a few grasshoppers, nowhere near as many as on the way down .some of the roads were flooded the last week or so,and lots of water laying beside the road, this is unheard of out here.
Lots of goats again today, a few emus in groups of 6 or so,and some pretty big and healthy looking roos, and one lonely cow.
pic is smoko on the running board and tiny coffee table with apropriate table cloth
engine has used about 1/8 on the stick, and oil is still looking pretty good,I,have my full flow oil system with the filter down beside the sump , i was going to,do,an oil change but will maybe leave it until i get home, that will be around 4500 miles on it.todate 2800 miles.
We are in Cobar for a day or two.
