Good morning all. I am looking for any information on a curved vent/oil fill tube. I'm installing a 59AB motor in a all stock 1934 fordor sedan. The motor has to be lifted in the front some and the clearance between the firewall and the oil fill tube is very close with the stock motor. Raising the motor Think will hit the oil fill cap or make it very difficult to remove the cap.
Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated... Kind regards |

Have you considered using a Canadian 59A intake with the front oil fill?

Some V8-60 motors had a fill tube that leans forward. Not sure about the diameter though.
Maybe a muffler shop could make something that’ll work??? |

A couple of options:
I had a local muffler shop make me one and I flared the top. Cost about $20. Find a Lincoln Zephyr V12 vent/oil fill. I forget which year, but these were bent forward from the factory. Gear Drive sells a cast aluminum one for $80 plus shipping. https://www.lakeheaders.com/products...ffset-breather |

My vote is muffler shop. This way you can make it the length you want/need. Last edited by Tim Ayers; 05-06-2026 at 03:27 PM. |

I just put a taller, straight aluminum pipe in mine.

In my first 34, I installed a 59AB style engine and just made a longer fill tube as shown by the poster up above. Worked out great!
