Default Torque Tube Removal from '40 Pickup

Sounds easy from descriptions, but mine is being stubborn for some reason.

1. Unhooked transverse leaf
2. Unhooked rear shocks
3. Removed collar halves at rear of tranny
4. Tried rolling rear end back to separate torque tube from tranny
5. No joy.

More force somehow?

Any ideas appreciated.

Figured it out. The tube has to be parallel to IMG_2651.jpgthe gearbox. Slides right out.
