Windshield builder says yes on the Vaseline, and use a Popsicle stick to guide the gasket from rolling in.

39’ passenger car.
Want to check Toe In / Toe Out.
Can that be accomplished while on Jack Stands , or does weight need to be to be o suspension and steering gear ?
