Gary- a Mill Creek 13 - would look very cool on that truck and fabricating it would be right up your alley. https://clcboats.com/products/mill-creek-13. Your truck with a wooden kayak or canoe on it would be the hot ticket at the Annual Wooden Boat Show in Port Townsend. Slap a sign on the side of the truck “Orcas Island Outfitters” and you’re in business! Les

I'd probably have my ass in a sling if it showed up here, but a Long WB panel that DRY only shows up once in a lifetime. Let's keep in touch.

Gary, you need that panel truck. It would be swell to haul the AeroThrust to shows, and haul away spectators that got too close to the demonstration.

Plasti-dip can be used for hooks like that.

I know it would have been the perfect choice, and undoubtedly the Quick-N-Easy company at Monrovia Ca used it or a similar product. Me? Ut woulda been a 24 mile round trip to the store, maybe 12 bucks, one dip and then 5 years from now when needed on another project it would probably be congealed. That's if I could even find it There is no shortage of new and used tubes of the gooey, stringy black sikaflex here, and was a total pita to apply neatly, but it was a 'bird in the hand'.

Thanks Neighbor, but I stay plenty busy in my woodshop, listening to my music and keeping warm by the woodstove, so I'd probably sink a second business. In fact I am absolutely swamped with work right now, having just put in a 61 hour week. A Seattle design firm contacted me about building eleven extremely time consuming custom interior doors that will be shipped to a project being built on Mink Island in Desolation Sound, which is maybe a couple hours North of Vancouver BC. Hoping to ship late next week so I can jump on the list of my work for more of my local clients. Note to any younger guys ... "Put money aside for the future". I looked at the Kayak plans, and looks like a very cool and very practical example of a kayak. Alas, once get through my list, it's back to my 20' inboard Shamrock project. The hope is to, like last year, take whole the summer off. Crabbing with the grandkids is high on the list. They all live in Seattle and as a crab pot breaks the surface, the delight on their faces is worth a fortune (the one I didn't amass) But I wouldn't change a thing. Ok, back down to the door factory. Never thought I'd miss the days when I had 3 or 4 employees

It's a pretty special piece. Most of the survivors are in museums and I don't know of an example that is in running condition. That training wheel type of stand is something I built for rolling it and display purposes. It is extremely top heavy and rear weight biased. The kickstand was a joke. I have seen pics of some still highly valued examples with fins broken off of the tops of the cylinders, but this one has all fins intact and I plan to keep it that way.
It's a two stroke and the heads thread into the bore, so can be removed with a large crescent wrench on the hex head cast into them. I used to run it on two model T coils, but they are hard to hide.
