Default What year transmission cover is this?🤔

We hoped it was a '36, but it's not. I did some googling, but can't seem to figure out what year it is.

Anyone an idea?

Dennis

I'm fairly certain that's '39.

It's interesting to see that on the bottom right corner of the transmission cover there is a noticeable amount of pitting. I have seen many of these covers over the years and most of them are pitted in the same area. This must have been a common place moisture was trapped?

Thanks.

On our '36 the driver's side was actually worse.

Maybe that was where the wifey tends to spill her cocktail on fast "getaway" starts?

What side is your driver on, left or right?

As a side note, we'd just recently imported a horse from the Netherlands. Beautiful animal!

Is that typical (driver side) in your country?

Unrelated, but curious how your horse was transported? By boat or on a plane? I'm not a horse person, but that is a very nice looking animal for sure.

By plane. I came to understand that about twelve horses nearly each week are flown out of there to the USA.
I had no idea.

Actually, now that we've gone international, "left side" and "right side" is much clearer.

Ah, to be clear: Steering wheel is left, we drive on the right side of the road.

About horse transport: they're usually transported in Cargo planes and accompanied by 1 or 2 persons that take care for them during the flight. They're in accessable boxes on the main deck.

I used to fly Cargo planes and had them on board every once in a while.

Thanks for the clarity in regard to wheel location / which side of the road you drive upon.

Nice looking horse Kube. My father is a Purina and Kent feed dealer. I've made a lot of custom horse feed rations over the years.
