Not for a 29-48 rear axle. It has the ability to warp rear hub flanges if you pull on the studs. Totally incorrect.

Thanks, 'nuf said. I've only pulled 1/2 ton axles once, as the vast majority of my fords are or have been trucks of one ton or larger with the full floating rear. It's all coming back to me as I think about the axle threads and keyway.

Gary, there is a part missing for the puller you were showing to use it on ford hubs. It looked like what mercman shows us but wider with two studs to conect it to the main puller. I used one of my friends many times on my fords and lincoln. The one part on FB is the Mopar / Cadillac part. Tim

there is also a giant slide hammer accessory.
The price is not out of line for that heavy Snap On puller .

Here is a picture of one I have used for over 55 years. I never knew the make it only is marked keep screw well oiled. I have since seent them on Ebay as Snapon and or Blue Point but it is very effective and heavy duty. I had a '46 Ford in 1971 and a friend was the local Ford garage shop foreman when the car was new until he retired in 1980's. When I went to return it he told me he never wanted to see it again as well as some other old Ford tools he had. He was a great guy I have written about before. They show up time to time on Ebay but tough to do a search on there anymore.

Yes, you are a hoarder. Let me know some convenient dates and I will come by and help clear out some of your junk.
