Thank you sir, that carb base looks great! I have a NOS carb base and it’s black, but it’s not paint. It’s a coating of some type. Love the look of yours as it’s similar, I will have to try the bluing treatment.

Yes I think my color is close. It matches other air horn and carb bases that I have that are NOS out of the box. I do realize there are color variations possible as I have those also.

I should mention, I have zinc plated the cast bases as well, then blued them. I don’t know if the extra step does anything for the color, but gives a layer of corrosion protection.
