Default Mounting a 32 ford truck brake light switch

I am looking to fix a brake light switch on a 32 ford truck. I mounted one to the frame where the old one was but theres something missing. Theres nothing in place to activate the switch.

Is it a big truck or pickup truck? On the pickup I believe it mounts on the transmission.

Early 1930's Ford big trucks typically have the brake light switch mounted to the side of the transmission.
