I spent quite a bit of time there in the state prison! As a contractor, not a resident. It is a great city with much to do, good choice.

I have not spent a lot of time on the forums lately so I'm late to this party but we plan to be there also! I'll be the family with 2 kids age 8 and 4. Hope to see you all there!

Here's another good reason to go to Pendleton - Free shipping on parts from Burtz Block. Purchase any parts/engines, etc. at least 30 days prior to the convention and they'll ship it to you for pick up at the event at no charge. It's a fair amount of savings and you get it right then.

Besides FREE shipping, there is NO SALES TAX in Oregon.

my work was kind enough to advance a massive project by four months, fund it, and cancel everyone's time off.
have fun without me, take pictures!

Terry also does a seminar. I'd love to see someone take delivery assemble, install it and drive home. It would blow the MAFFI first start videos into the weeds.

I almost considered that - but then the impatient me who had a lot of front end work to do anyway decided to just pay the piper and order it now. "new" front crossmember, kingpins, spindle bushings, brakes, wheel bearings, front spring/shackles, front perches all underway and will be a lot easier with no engine. Then I will drop the burtz in and enjoy that smoothness and fruits of my labor all the way there and back!! Short block and all the goodies are inbound and I can't wait! My flywheel, flywheel housing, oil pump, clutch/disk, and other bits have arrived within the last few days.

I have a good start on all the front end work listed - but its going to be a BUSY 6 weeks!

There is a good Rolling Bones video on Tubi. They build street rods and go to Bville each year.
Their comment that the customers new car is usually finished by the time they arrive in Utah (from NY) is very fitting for anyone that has done extensive mods or a full build.
