Default 39 40 brakes

Any difference between 1939 and 1940 brake/clutch assembly ?

Yes.
How the clutch pedal actuating linkage attached is completely different.
The '39 pedal setup will retrofit back to '35.

For most restorations, 1939 and 1940 brake/clutch assemblies are interchangeable, but pay attention to pedal pad shape, master cylinder bore, and clutch rod length if using exact-year restoration parts.
