Does anyone know which style 11a-16378 bumpers are correct? Drake shows them pointed but everyone else shows them as round and flat. I have mismatched ones in the car now and the gas door sticks up too far. Just want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks!

Which one is making the door to stick up? Put some chalk on the tip of each one and close the lid. Lift the lid and look for the mark. Then you will know which one sticks up too far. Then buy the other style.

I am not sure what is correct, but a tapered style will tend to have a progressive rate of compression to force, a rounded one even and be a little more forgiving on adjustment.
TJ's chalk idea is great though I would use a small ball of soft modeling clay. If you have oversized bumpers just sand them down. If they are too soft to sand easily (Drake's stuff often is which is usually a good thing) put them in a deep freezer overnight and sand when frozen |
