Tom, can you give us an update? Pain lessened? More steps? Heck it's still 5 days til you even get the MRI. Hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for the reminder that gravity works at the same speed it always has--even though we slow down.
I hope the injuries are no more serious, and be sure to thank your wife for we speedy help.

Tom, your photo of the door reminded me of what happened to me a couple of weeks before our son was born. We had a fire call come in and as I got in the station, I went to open the door for the 1st run Fire truck. Front mounted pump with bumper and crash bar, standard transmission. The guy attempting to start the truck did not push the clutch in and it was in gear. I was pinned at my hips by the bumper, and the crash bar had me at the base of my skull. Thank God it was a fiberglass door. The guy panicked and flooded the engine. After what seemed like days (but probably was minutes) enough help came to knock the truck in neutral and roll the truck back where I could get out. I walked away with a bad headache and sore. Never been more scared in my life. Being a small town my wife knew in 20 minutes. With the baby that close I did not want her to know until I could tell her in person. Glad you are O.K.,they sell doors everyday ...

OK, update on my situation. MRI yesterday, results today show no bone fractures but considerable muscle damage. PT recommended which I start in a week. I still think there is nerve damage as well. We'll see how the PT works and go from there.
I do appreciate all the concern.

Correction: Visit from orthopedic doctor said I had no fractures. However, Radiology report I just received shows 5 fractures, 4 on the right and 1 on the left. Narrative states this. No wonder I cannot walk. Waiting for call from primary doc to drive further treatment. To me it looks like surgery is in my future.
