How to remove 1935 dash light switch

I haven’t had any luck getting the dash light switch out on our ‘35 coupe. Any tricks?

Here is a pic of what it looks like. See the funny looking tab just behind the bezel? There is one on each side.You need to somehow squeeze the 2 together and then push the switch out thru the hole from the back.
