Default On Down THe Road

Sold my 40 Ford Deluxe Tudor today. Almost 36 years to the day. 53000 miles when I bought it, 85000 when it went down the road, not to bad. My Parents made me sell it.
Mother Nature and Father Time.

I’m glad you got to enjoy it for all those miles.

Our hope is that the new owners will protect and enjoy the 40 just like you did.
Bitter sweet, these decisions we must make.

Over the last 40 years, I have sold quite a few of my old trucks to guys in their late 20s and early 30s. They tend to keep in touch as friends and helpers. I'm wondering how old the new owner of your car is. It's of interest to me as most of us will one day need to lighten our load of Henry's amazing steel.

Roger, Wishing you all the best. You did good giving the 40 a home for so many years.

Roger, I sold mine last year, after 34 years and a few more miles than you had. It leaves one with a hollow feeling you just don’t recover from. Please don’t go away, we need your continued input here!

ford38v8 Thank you for your support. But the empty spot in the garage is still good. My 2004 Mercury will be warm for the winter

Sold my '40 coupe last week, but I still have my '40 tudor and my '41 sedan coupe. I need things to tinker with rather than sit around and watch TV.

One or two cars is a Hobby . Three or more is a disease. God help you if you have Mixed Makes. A few years ago I bought a 1963 Buick Electra. I put both cars ,for a month,in the garage to get aquainted. I told them the first one tha does nolt start gets sold.
