Redesign transmission gears so the car can reach 30-35 mph in second gear.
Astra-Werke demonstrated this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmQjirT_640 |

Leakless pumps already available. Different piston - why? less mass, faster reving? C'mon it's a Model A.
Steering box maybe new castings that take repro parts but which one 2 or 7 tooth. Mine has a Randy Gross F100 box it's great but the A purists don't like it. Automatic trans - already been done and not a big market Syncro trans - already done. Maybe a rebuild kit for ones own trans with syncro gears but you may have trouble if Mitchell had patented his. OD already done and there is no room in the A case to make it an OD 4 speed ala F150 TOD. Casting new block for A internals - a step backwards and doesn't meet the race rules V4 and V4F require pre 1935 production block and severely limits mods that can be made to it. again small market. Bigger carb a Model A looking Zenith that outflows the Model B carb may be the perfect addition for a stock looking Burtz whose performance is choked by the stock carb. Might also be paired with a stock looking intake with larger passages. |

Lotta guys asking for things that already exist, already exist but they want it to match the OEM appearance, or are physically impossible.

Hey, there's no rules in wishing! Remember how many Farah Fawcett posters got sold?
Besides, we have great faith in Terry. |

I bought a new steering box for my '32 from Neil's Hot Rod Parts. 18 to 1 ratio and it bolts in.

I am 80 and have no problem shifting. It's all in the ear. I only use the clutch for starting and stopping. Not for shifting.

To All;
We are now in the final stage of having new F100 steering boxes for Model A's. They will look and function exactly the same as the original F100 steering boxes that we have been doing for close to 30 years now. We also have plenty of cores and continue to buy cores so are plan is for us and our products to be around for a long time. Thanks Randy Gross 714-292-8660 [email protected] |

Yeah Daddy ![]() ![]() There has to be a pretty good market out there for replacement Flat head V-8 blocks the 59AB would be my choice... And/or as Brent Terry said, maybe even a bone stock three bearing Model A Ford block I can see that one too. |

A V8 block would unfortunately be a nightmare to produce.
My dream would be an A block with improved B-style intake ports and use the B crank. That would solve the weak bottom end issues and somewhat resemble what you have already done. Ford finally got it right with the B but it was too late. |

Vibration dampers are already available - from New Zealand. As has been observed, many of the thigs wished for are already available if you look in the right places.
Terry will decide what is the best one to do.

Synchro - I’ve tried to source these dampers without luck. Do you have a current source?

I am in the new steering box camp.1937 is the first year for recirculating ball steering in a Ford. I was shocked at how easy the steering was when I drove a 37.
